The monsoon came early and with a mighty force. Three days of endless water pouring down from the sky transformed Ganges into a frightening fast moving mass of muddy waters, forcefully taking everything in its way. Shiva has been swept away and the streets near the Ganges are flooded.
Those travels that taught me again and again what it means to live in the moment and surrender to whatever comes my way. Those travels that let me understand what it means to be truly loved. That made yoga and meditation part of my daily life. That made me start to write children stories. And realise where I truly want to be at home.
If you are still wondering if you should do this trip you've been longing to do for so long. Stop wondering and DO IT.

Arathi Ceremony
The Arathi is an expression of one's complete and unflinching love towards god. It is performed every evening in this beautiful setting of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram overlooked by this amazing Shiva statue standing on a platform in mother Ganga.
Rishikesh Yog Peeth
A few pictures showing my daily life here. The beautiful courtyard of house Krishna where I go for meals and philosophy and anatomy classes. And cows I meet on my way there, roaming the streets for something to eat.

Visiting the Parmarth Ashram
This morning we went to the 6 am Yoga and meditation class in the nearby Parmarth Niketan Ashram. It's the biggest ashram in Rishikesh, an impressive place full of pilgrims and Hindu gods in beautiful gardens. The extra big beautiful Shiva statue behind me is one of Rishikesh's icons. With the Ganges real high only Shiva's head and shoulders might emerge from the water.
